T.V Reception Home Island
The Shire of Cocos (K) Islands have been made aware of the Television Reception problems around the kampong on Home Island.
In order to rectify the problem as quickly as possible the Shire is engaging Cocos Communications & IT to provide options and solutions. It is hoped a working program can be in place early this year.
Due to the Net Work layout it will be necessary to take a systematic approach. The T.V cable starts opposite the Cyclone Shelter and branches out to each row of houses from a single line. It is therefore necessary to start from the near houses and work progressively up the line.
New Rubbish Trucks
The new rubbish trucks are arriving soon. This is a timely reminder that no metal or items containing metal rods or bars be placed in your bin. If you are unsure please leave the item next to the bin. Shire Staff will determine if it can be placed into the truck or disposed of otherwise.
